James Hill is a Canadian ukulele player, songwriter, and educator known for pushing the instrument far beyond its stereotypes. His latest album, Uke Heads, a 160-player global collaboration, earned a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination. Raised in the Canadian school ukulele program created by J. Chalmers Doane, Hill grew into a leading innovator, co-author of Ukulele in the Classroom, and founder of Uketropolis, inspiring players worldwide.
